We are constantly reviewing our services and events since the COVID-19 outbreak, including the setting up and delivery of a Community task force and helpline to help those in self isolation in our community.
Environmental Groups and Projects
Plastic Free Chudleigh
A local group hoping to achieve plastic free status for Chudleigh and to encourage everyone to use less plastic and reduce waste.
An informal local network whose members are interested in environmental issues and social justice. They meet to discuss what is important to us, share views and information, mount local campaigns on national issues where appropriate and take local action.
A group of local residents who want to share and enthuse others with their passion for wildlife.
Chudfix Repair Cafe
A community group which hosts a bi-monthly community event to match people with broken or damaged household items with skilled volunteers who like fixing things.
CHUDFridge, Chudleigh’s Community Fridge can be found at the back door of Chudleigh Town Hall. The purpose of the fridge is to reduce food waste - food that would otherwise be thrown away can be put in by businesses or the public, and anyone that can make use of it can take it, free of charge. So anyone can put it, and anyone can take out. Not all foods are able to go in the fridge (please see the list on the fridge or the facebook page).
ACT (Action against Climate in Teignbridge)
ACT was set up in response to Teignbridge District Council’s Climate Emergency Declaration by a group of people convinced of the need to take urgent action.
