New Funding for Supported Bus Services 2020/2021
Government are making available some new funding to enable local authorities to increase their support for bus services. We are running a public consultation to help us use this funding in the best possible way. To help you respond, we need first to explain what the Government are doing and what they expect of us. We then go on to outline our considerations so far. Please read all the information we’ve provided and if you choose to respond, we look forward to hearing from you.
PLEASE NOTE:We are very much aware that the implementation of these plans could be severely affected by the COVID-19 crisis, but at the time of writing the Department for Transport have confirmed that the submission deadline still stands. We are therefore having to continue with the preparation process.
If you would like to respond to the consultation, please click here to view and download the Feedback Form (you will need to save a copy to your PC to edit and complete the form). You can also respond via email without using the form, but you must use the format given below. Alternatively you can print and send a hardcopy of the form to: Integrated Public Transport Team, Transport Coordination Service, Devon County Council, Matford Offices, County Hall, Exeter EX2 4QD
The closing date for receipt of comments is the close of business on Friday 24th April 2020. We acknowledge this is a shorter consultation period than we and others might prefer but this is to allow time for further due consideration by the Devon County Council Cabinet prior to meeting the Government’s deadline for submission of spending plans.
If you would like the feedback form in another format, or would like us to send you a paper version of the consultation to read and a form to complete, please email us firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0345 155 1015.
