Councillor changes at the Town Council:
A vacancy for a councillor was created last year following the resignation of Heath Baxter from the council. As there were insufficient requests to trigger a formal poll the council was able to fill the post by co-option. When Full Council met on 6 January they decided to co-opt Clare Lillington to fill the vacant post. Clare will be familiar to many of you as she was a long-serving councillor up to the May 2019 election and is a past Mayor of Chudleigh.
At the same meeting our two District Councillors, Lorraine Evans and Richard Keeling, announced their resignations from the Town Council. As members of the ruling District Council administration they have been finding that they simply have insufficient time to serve the Town Council at the level they would have wished. The two vacancies will be advertised in due course.
