WORKS AT VICARAGE LANE
These works are preparation works for a slurry seal treatment that will be undertaken on the path. Slurry seal is a thin layer of material that is laid over the existing surface to leave it with a nice smooth finish. To achieve this smooth finish we first have to fill in any deeper holes or cracked sections. As this work will be surfaced over the patches and holes filled are not done to the standard where we would not be doing further works so can look a bit messy. Please be assured though that once the slurry seal goes down the path will be in a very good condition.
The barriers have been removed temporarily. We had received complaints from a resident that they were not able to access the path on their mobility scooter so these have been removed as part of the preparation works for the slurry seal for two reasons. Firstly so that the slurry seal treatment can go down without hindrance, and secondly so that they can be replaced to meet with the requirements for disability access.
The slurry seal treatment is programmed to take place between 22nd June and 26th June.
