South West water sewerage proposals for Chudleigh Town centre
On Friday 29 April the Annual Town Meeting is being held in the Woodway Room at the Town Hall, commencing at 7pm.
This year we have a guest speaker from South West Water who will tell us about their plans to improve the sewerage system in the town centre.
South West water are required to undertake works to reduce the amount of sewerage entering the River Teign to improve the water quality at shellfish estuaries. This work is certainly good for the environment and will reduce incidents of flooding of basements in the town centre which occurs often when there is heavy rain. The downside will be the inevitaboe traffic disruption involved when new sewerage pipes are being laid.
Do come along to the meeting on 29 April and find out more about South West Water's plans. They will be speaking, and answering questions, soon after the start of the meeting giving people the opportunity to escape if they want to!
