It's disappointing to have to report a couple of instances of vandalism over the last week.
The first was at Fore Street Park where the timber pagoda has been under attack. Various wooden pegs have been removed, timber torn off and cedar shingles torn off the roof. Because of the bespoke nature of the design we will need to call in the people who designed and built it, Tree Pirates, to carry out the repairs. This may take a few weeks as they are very busy at this time of year.
The second incident was at Millstream Meaqdow skate park where two bins have been so badly buckled that they will need to be replaced. This will cost us around £320 exclusive of VAT.
If anyone knows anything about the two incidents please give what information you have either to us at the Town Hall or to the Police s using the 101 number.
If you witness any vandalism when you're out and about please do report it to the police, particularly if you can identify the individuals or if there is a chance of them being caught in the act.
